Many years ago he picked up a pen, a pad and started writing. At first, what came out was spoken word. During that time, he thought he could never be a rapper because rappers aren't "respected" members of the community. So he wasn't a rapper, he was a poet. After a while, when he would read his poems, he'd feel like something was missing, a melody, a beat, a flow… something. Not long after that realization he started rapping, but because of his preconceived notions of what a rapper was, he didn't consider himself to be one.

Throughout high school, college and grad school he continued to write, rap and get incrementally better with each verse. But in the back of his mind he still had that little voice telling him that it was wrong to be a rapper. So he didn't focus too much of his time or energy on music. It wasn't until after he graduated from grad school that he realized he should stop paying attention to what is and isn't "respectable" and just do what ever it is that he loves, rap. Since that decision was made, he hasn't looked back.

The name is Reyshizz, but you could call him Rey. He's putting himself out there to showcase his work with the goal of getting fame, fortune and everything that comes along with it, both the good and the bad. He wants to do right and learn from doing wrong. Above all Reyshizz wants to create works of art that speaks to the masses. This is why he's here.
